1978: Jamyang London Buddhist Centre is founded on September 2nd, establishing a space for the study and practice of Tibetan Buddhism in the Mahayana tradition.

Jamyang London moves to the Old Courthouse in the London borough of Lambeth, marking a significant expansion for the center as it outgrows its original location in Finsbury Park.

1999

The magnificent 9-foot Buddha statue, crafted by Peter Griffin and consecrated by His Holiness the Dalai Lama, is installed in the main Gompa, symbolizing the center's commitment to spiritual practice and devotion.

2000s: Deepening Practice

Jamyang London solidifies its role as a leading Buddhist center in the UK, hosting teachings by eminent Tibetan Buddhist masters.

The centre expands its programs to accommodate growing interest in Tibetan Buddhism and meditation practices.

2010s: Continuing Legacy

2018: Jamyang London celebrates its 40th anniversary, reflecting on decades of spiritual growth and community development.

The center continues to thrive, offering a wide range of classes, teachings, and meditation sessions to a diverse audience.
